Helping Santa Barbara’s Rescues, One Dog at a Time
Over the years, I’ve worked alongside local shelters and rescue groups to create behavior programs that save lives. In loud, stressful kennel environments, small changes in handling can make the difference between adoption and euthanasia.
I’ve seen it happen — dogs who came in fearful, reactive, or broken, transform into calm, adoptable companions once they were finally understood.
That’s the heart of K-911 Training: to help shelters, rescues, fosters, and families across Santa Barbara County build trust through better communication.
Training That Goes Beyond Commands
Any trainer can teach a dog to sit. But not every trainer can teach a dog to trust again.
That’s where experience matters. My work focuses on behavior modification — addressing the “why” behind the behavior. Whether it’s reactivity, fear, separation anxiety, or resource guarding, every behavior tells a story. My job is to translate it, then guide both the dog and human toward calm understanding.
If you’ve ever had a dog that seems “stubborn,” “shut down,” or “out of control,” there’s a reason — and I can help you find it.
Why Santa Barbara Is the Perfect Place to Train
Santa Barbara isn’t just home — it’s the perfect environment for dog training. The beaches, trails, and parks give dogs a natural outlet for exercise and balance. Whether I’m working with clients at Arroyo Burro Beach, Tucker’s Grove, or in private homes throughout Montecito and Carpinteria, I use real-world settings to create calm, confident behavior that lasts.
Training shouldn’t happen in isolation. It should happen where life happens — out in the community, side by side with the people and dogs we care about.
The K-911 Promise
At K-911 Training, my mission is simple:
To help dogs find balance, help owners find confidence, and help shelters give every dog a fair chance.
If you’re in Santa Barbara or anywhere across the Central Coast and you’re looking for a trusted dog trainer and behaviorist, I’d be honored to work with you. Together, we can build understanding, not just obedience.
Because every dog deserves that chance.
